Sam Hill

Sam works with painting and printmaking as well as a variety of digital media including photography, video and animation. Her work is often based on the emotional response to a person or place. She intuitively captures this response which leads to work that creates poignant expressions of emotions, with a visual humour and clarity of insight, that has an immediate impact on the viewer. She explores issues of femininity, sexuality and relationships and her unpretentious and spontaneous style translates across media, creating deceptively simple but tantalising imagery.

Sam is using this opportunity to explore interactive elements within her work, and through increasing knowledge of digital and photographic processes she is developing her work both technically and creatively.
