Caroline Douglas

Caroline Douglas is a freelance photographer who is currently studying her Masters of Fine Art at Glasgow School of Art.  She graduated with a First Class Honours Degree in Photography from the Edinburgh College of Art in 2006.

In 2006 Caroline was awarded the Tempest Photography prize and named by the Herald as an emerging visual artist in 2007.  To date, her work focuses predominately on portraiture.  Her series ‘The Photobooth’ has been exhibited in London, Baltimore, Japan and alongside Nan Goldin at Edinburgh’s City Arts Centre.

Caroline was Re:Create Artist in Residence at Stills in 2008.  Currently, she teaches evening classes at the Edinburgh College of Art and Photography workshops at Stills as well as continuing to work on her own photographic projects with community groups.
