Internships

Stills’ Internships have been developed to provide opportunities for professional career development in the visual arts sector.
We are seeking highly motivated individuals with a passion for photography and contemporary art. You will gain experience in all aspects of Stills’ activities from the gallery, events and production facilities through to marketing and administration.

Gallery and Production Interns (3 posts)
These posts will support and maintain the effective delivery of Stills' Teaching and Learning Programme e.g. Courses, production facilities and group activities.
Duties will include:
- Customer service and general gallery duties
- Communicating with and supporting a variety of Stills' users
- Delivery of facilities tours and supporting inductions
- Maintaining Stills' production facilities
- Participants monitoring, evaluation and reporting
- Documentation and marketing
These positions require excellent organisational and time management skills. A qualification in Photography is essential and knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe creative Suite is advantageous

Gallery and Events Interns (2 posts)
These posts will support Stills' Developing Practice programme e.g. Exhibitions, events, artist residencies and commissions.
Duties will include:
- Customner service and general gallery duties
- Communicating with and supporting a variety of Stills' users
- Delivery of gallery tours
- Audience monitoring, evaluations and reports
- Assisiting in-house events
- Supporting administration
- Documentation and marketing
You will be dedicated and have the ability to work towards deadlines. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, design applications, layout and attention to detail are preferable as is experience working with artists.

Duration:  3 May -  29 August 2010
Training: 27 - 29 April 2010

Applicants will be required to work 4 days including one evening and weekends.

Deadline: WEDNESDAY 31 MARCH 2010
Interviews: week beginning 12 April 2010
