• Working with artists We provide specialist artists to lead all our workshops. After consulting with your group the artist will devise a project tailored to your needs, based around an appropriate theme. Highly experienced artists provide expert, skills-based tuition and ensure that your group gets the most out of using our facilities.
• Training for you We offer an induction designed for support workers, allowing you to take an active role in leading the workshop. Once your confidence has built up you will be able to lead your workshops with minimum support.
• Technical support In most cases your group will require full technical support during your workshop. This can be facilitated by a support worker or an artist who is trained and confident in using Stills’ facilities.
• Flexibility We want you to get the best experience possible and we are really flexible, we will work with you to create a tailor-made programme of activities to suit your needs. We welcome everyone and are very experienced in dealing with a wide variety of groups.
• Accessiblity Stills welcomes everybody and our staff are trained to help give the best possible service to our disabled customers. Stills is accessible by wheelchair throughout, with lift access to all floors.
• Numbers
-The maximum number of participants, excluding the arts worker(s), is 5 for the communal darkrooms with a possible capacity of 9 depeneding on the project.
-The digital labs have 8 computers but participants can be paired giving a maximum of 16 places.
• Materials We’ll sort them out for you! Stills stock a wide range of materials including Epson papers, CDs and DVDs and have cameras available for hire. We’ll discuss your material needs whilst planning your workhsop (project) to ensure that we have everything you need.
• Availability Time. Open 7 days a week, we can scheduled your workshop in the morning, afternoon or evening.
