Curator Talk: Timothy Prus (The Archive of Modern Conflict)

Thursday, 29 March 2018
Timothy Prus

Timothy Prus is the Founder and Curator of The Archive of Modern Conflict, an organisation dedicated to the collection and preservation of vernacular photographs, objects, artefacts, curiosities, and ephemera. The archive began as a collection of photographs relating to war and conflict but has since expanded its remit to become the vast and thematically diverse repository it is today. Over the last few decades, it has become one of the world’s leading private collections, with a purview that encompasses scholarship, exhibitions, and publications. Works from the archive have been included in exhibitions worldwide at venues such as Tate Modern, the Hayward Gallery, various North American institutions and at events such as the Rencontres d’Arles, Brighton Photo Biennial and Paris Photo.

*This event was originally planned for Thursday 1 March, but due to the weather conditions has now been rescheduled as above.*

Collected Shadows: The Archive of Modern Conflict exhibition runs until 8 April
